APPOINTMENT REMINDERS - TEXT MESSAGING

We are pleased to offer the above service. The practice will send you a text message approximately 24 hours before reminding you of the time of your appointment.

Please ensure we hold the correct mobile telephone number on record for you by either completing the patient contacts link at the bottom of our page or alternatively speak to one of the Receptionists.

Unfortunately reminders will not be sent out for children's appointments or for Physiotherapy appointments.

  • Family planning (including coil insertion and Implanon insertion)
  • Cervical smears
  • Childhood immunisation & Child Health
  • Dietetic
  • Liquid nitrogen clinic for warts and suitable skin problems.
  • Menopausal Advice
  • Chronic Disease Management clinics ( Asthma, Diabetes etc)

PHYSIOTHERAPY APPOINTMENTS

Our physiotherapist Adam Jones works within the practice on a Tuesday and a Thursday all day. If you have any muscle or joint pain the physiotherapist could help you with this. Please ask the Receptionist for details on appointments. YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A GP APPOINTMENT BEFORE SEEING HIM.

MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER

We now have two Mental Health Practitioners, Lisa Smillie and Johanna Marr, working within the Practice on a Tuedsay, Wednesday and Friday.  Appointments can be made for those between the ages of 18-64 with non-urgent mental health problems.  They can make an assessment of your mental health and further signpost or refer you to other services.

If you are already known to mental health services you should contact your local health team directly.

COMMUNITY LINKS PRACTITONER

Kevin Hodge is our Community Links Practitioner (CLP) and appointments are available on a Thursday afternoon.  Kevin is here to help you improve your health and wellbeing by connecting you with activities and services in your area. He does not provide a counselling service however he may be able to link you in with a service that is appropriate to your needs.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS

Our Occupational Therapist, Joanne Payne, is here to support those who may feel like their bodies are slowing down as they get older, to live satisfying and healthy lives as they age.

COMMUNITY FALLS TEAM

The Community Falls Assistant Practitioners are an NHS service covering North, South and East Ayrshire. The service has been set up to provide support and care for people at home who have had a fall or are worried about falling. For more information click on the links below:
